Frequently Asked Questions and Event Policies
DO YOU PROVIDE CHAIRS?
Chairs are not provided. We suggest you bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs. If you have limited mobility, please contact us to arrange for special seating.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Parking in our upper lot is limited, and is reserved for those requiring disabled parking. We ask that you park in our lower lot. We provide a shuttle from the lower lot to the check-in area. To avoid traffic issues, we ask that you use the West Broadway entrance to the Mansion and park in the lower lot unless you require disabled parking.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from a local food truck and Independent Brewing Company. However, you are also welcome to bring your own picnic. As we are public parkland, we ask that you do not bring alcoholic beverages onto the property.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
Most concerts have designated rain dates in the case of inclement weather.
Should inclement weather threaten on the day of this concert, the Liriodendron Foundation will make a decision about whether to go ahead with the event by 1 pm on the day of the show. Should we have to cancel, that decision will be communicated to all ticket holders directly via email and/or by phone. In addition, cancellations will be posted on our website and social media.
In the event that a concert is rescheduled to its rain date, your reservations will automatically shift to the new date. If the concert is canceled, you may transfer your reservation to an up-coming concert, or receive a refund. You may also choose to revert the cost of your tickets to the Liriodendron Foundation as a charitable donation.
Refunds will not be made should the concert proceed as schedule if ticket holders choose not to attend.
I MADE A RESERVATION, BUT NOW I CAN'T ATTEND. CAN I GET A REFUND?
Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the Liriodendron Foundation. If you are unable to attend a concert for which you have reservations, you can transfer them to another concert date or give them to a friend. If you choose to transfer them to another date or give them away, please contact us at events@liriodendron.com so we can update our reservations list.
IS THE MANSION OPEN DURING OUTDOOR CONCERTS?
Yes! The Mansion is open to visitors during concerts and other public-facing events. You are welcome to tour the house and grounds and view our exhibit during the concert. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
WHAT TIME DO THE GROUNDS OPEN BEFORE THE CONCERT?
Grounds open one hour before the concert begins. On dates when we have Second Sunday Open House, which runs from 11 am to 3 pm, you may choose to come early to tour the house and grounds, see our exhibit, explore local history in our Museum Rooms, and speak with staff about how you can rent the Liriodendron Mansion for your wedding or other event. If you visit our Open House, you are welcome to remain on the grounds until the concert starts.
DO YOU NEED VOLUNTEERS?
Yes! We are always happy to have volunteers help with our concerts and other events. If you are interested in learning how you can volunteer for Music at the Mansion or other events at the Liriodendron, please contact us at events@liriodendron.com
