Music at the Mansion Presents: Sloan Wainwright

Music at the Mansion Presents: Sloan Wainwright

Music at the Mansion is thrilled to welcome Sloan Wainwright to the Liriodendron on Sunday, April 28 at 6 pm!

Defying standard categorization, singer/songwriter Sloan Wainwright’s style is a unique and soulful hybrid, including pop, folk, jazz and blues, all held together by the melodious tone of her rich voice.

Her family tree (brother and folk-music luminary Loudon Wainwright, nephew Rufus Wainwright, nieces Martha Wainwright and Lucy Wainwright Roche) reads like a who’s who of contemporary folk music. Sloan’s incredible gift is not only her unique songwriting ability but also her dramatically voiced rendition of original songs.

The award-winning Wainwright is influenced by folk “but the real star here is her voice. Warm and smoky and smooth, it makes her earthy, ominous lyrics seem all the more intense.”

Join us for Sloan’s first performance at the Lirodendron Mansion!

Tickets $15 each. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets, or call 410-879-4424 or email info@liriodendron.com for tickets or information. Tickets also available at the door.

Music at the Mansion Presents: John Flynn

Music at the Mansion Presents: John Flynn

Music at the Mansion is proud to present John Flynn at the Liriodendron on Sunday, February 24 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm.

A singer-songwriter and activist known for his powerful music and tireless efforts on behalf of the lost and the lonely, the shackled and scarred, John Flynn follows in the footsteps of Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Phil Ochs, and other social justice troubadours.

John has been called a “folk icon” whose work reaches beyond the conventional boundaries of the genre.  His friend and mentor, Kris Kristofferson, has called John “an important artist whose work in prisons, rehabs, and half-way houses is distilled into the truth and the beauty of heartfelt and heart-warming slices of life.”

Join us for an evening of wonderful music with this folk hero whose work will fill your heart, open your eyes, and expand your mind.

Tickets $15 each. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets, or call 410-879-4424 or email info@liriodendron.com for tickets and information. Tickets also available at the door.
